Caring for Your Pet During COVID-19

Hello Everyone,

The Team at Heartland Niagara Animal Hospital would like to send out a big virtual hug to all of our wonderful clients and their pets.  We are thinking of each and every one of you and hope you are all safe at home and fortunate enough to be healthy.  During these difficult times, we want you to know that we are there for you and your pets.  We are honoured to continue to provide essential services to pets as we know they are very important members of your family.   We are open and continue to be there for your pet’s health needs.

We are taking significant precautions to protect your health and the health of our team so that we can continue to care for your pets. We wanted to share with you how we are managing things.

How we protect you and your pet:

a) Providing curbside service allows you to stay in your vehicle while we take your pet to care from them.

b) Payment options- we are able to take payment over the phone, and use single-use protection for our debit machine to ensure your safety.

c) Cleaning and sanitation- As a hospital, we already have a ridiculously high standard for cleanliness, which we have increased by regularly cleaning all high contact areas, and using gloves while handling your pet.

d) Our teams are now divided into small self-isolated groups to decrease our social connections and we all are very strict with our stay at home policy while outside of work.

We know that if we all do our part we’ll get through this together, stay safe everyone.
