7 Adorable Things Your Cat Will Do This Holiday Season

November 15, 2016

As the holidays approach, many people are quite busy cooking, cleaning, decorating, and shopping. If you have a kitty, your pet may supervise you very carefully as you prepare for seasonal events and activities. In fact, Fluffy has a few holiday traditions of her own! Below, a Thorold, ON vet lists some super cute things your kitty will do this holiday season.

Bat at Ornaments

Fluffy may be thrilled to find a tree covered in what appears to be cat toys in her domain. When you decorate, hang breakable objects near the top of the tree, well away from those cute little paws! You may also want to bribe your frisky furball by getting her some fun new playthings to occupy herself with.

Help With Gift Wrapping

Kitties are very helpful pets. Fluffy may very well try to assist you with wrapping presents!

Play With New Toys

Make sure to fill your pet’s stocking with fun new toys! We also recommend taking time to play with your kitty every day. Fluffy’s play sessions are not only super cute to watch, they’re also great for her both mentally and physically. Of course, toys don’t have to be the only thing your cat gets. You can also give your feline friend a new bed, a piece of cat furniture, or some yummy cat treats.

Investigate Empty Boxes

As people finish opening their gifts, your feline buddy may immediately start inspecting the empty boxes. If you really want to pamper Fluffy, try making her a special box castle.

Enjoy a Special Treat

Many people like giving their furry friends special snacks around the holidays. You can offer your furball some plain, undrained tuna in water; cooked, boneless meat, fish, or poultry; cat milk; or sodium-free beef or chicken broth.

Keep Your Lap Warm

Fluffy may have a reputation for being aloof, but many of our feline pals absolutely love to cuddle. Purring kitties make great lap warmers!

Nap Under the Tree

Cats are always looking for new napping spots. Fluffy will probably inspect the area under the tree to see if it would make a suitable sleeping place. This is only to be expected: after all, kitties are really special gifts!
